Biogas Energy Plant

Biogas is a combustible gas that is acquired as a result of anaerobic fermentation of organic materials. Attractiveness of biogas systems is that they use as input the organic wastes which cause health problems and that they transform these wastes into value. Livestock wastes found so much in amount especially in the rural area are of important inputs for biogas systems. These wastes are either used as fertilizer in agricultural applications by being kept for long time or are transformed into a form called turf and burned in an inefficient way. The importance of biogas technologies come to exist here. These systems make it possible for livestock wastes to be used without being kept, and together with biogas whose energy content is high, organic fertilizer is maintained which is eliminated from weed seeds and pathogens, includes high nitrogen content in a form useful for plants.

Sincan Biogas Power Plant

De Solar 7 Biogas Power Plant installed in Anayurt Neighborhood of Sincan District of Ankara Province with mechanical power 3,285 MWm electrical power 3,201 MWe is supported by YEKDEM and its provisional acceptance has been made. It facilitates the stages of collection of waste and conveyance to the plant to be processed that the plant is located in the organized livestock zone.

In the plant, as a result of processing by anaerobic decomposition technology, biogas, energy and fertilizer production shall be performed. Usable biogas shall be obtained from organic waste and electricity and heat production shall be maintained through gas motors (cogeneration). In the plant processed fermented solid-state and liquid product generating besides electricity production shall be considered as organic fertilizer.
