Hydro Electric Plant

Hydropower plants (HPP) convert the power of water flow into electricity. The amount of energy in the water flow is defined by the rate of water flow or fall. Water flow in a large river carries huge amount of energy. Or if the water is fallen from a very high point, high amount of energy is obtained. Either way the water taken in the canal or pipes flows through the turbines and provides that the turbines with arms like propeller rotate for electricity production. Turbines are connected to generators and they convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.
